Hello, my name is Perry, and I'm in Encinitas, California. I am studying undergraduate mathematics at the University of California in San Diego. In intend to go on to earn a doctorate degree in math so that I can share my love of math as a college professor and engage in mathematics research. I am an avid surfer and taught surf lessons for five summers. I discovered that I love seeing others fall in love with surfing as I did. I also enjoy music, yoga, movies, and spending time with my cats.Teaching surf lessons made me realize how much I enjoy sharing my passions with other people and led me to begin tutoring math (my other passion) in 2010. I have always loved math, and as a child it was easy for me. But as I moved into advanced mathematics in college, it became much more difficult for me and much more rewarding. The concepts in advanced math are awesome, and I love helping students to understand them. Witnessing the light bulb going on as a student truly gets a concept is amazing. I am available to tutor in all levels of math including elementary math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and ACT and SAT math.
